TOUCAN

The TOUCAN project (integrated analysis of resistance in hematological cancers), backed by the Toulouse teams of the ‘Fondation Recherche Innovation Thérapeutique Cancérologie' (Research and Therapeutic Innovation in Cancer Foundation), was selected for 5 million euros of funding, during the second wave of the "Laboratories of excellence" (LABEX) call for proposals, as part of an investment for the future. The TOUCAN project, particularly well rated given its A + classification, was considered emblematic of the "Laboratories of excellence" earmarked during this second call for proposals.

This project explores new ways of understanding the biological mechanisms involved in blood cancers and explaining the reasons for certain types of resistance to current treatment protocols.

The objective is to develop new and more effective treatments.
