Data protection

The Institut Claudius Regaud promises to protect your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018 (European regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016), and to ensure that the personal data it collects are processed in accordance with the GDPR and France’s Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés). To this end, the Institute has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), a post currently held by Guillaume Jauffret: DPO-ICR@iuct-oncopole.fr

 

Collection and use of data

Certain personal data may be collected during your visit to the www.iuct-oncopole.fr website. Information essential to the functioning of the site is indicated as such when the information is requested. If you refuse to provide this essential information, you may be unable to access some of the site’s services, functions or areas of the site.

The personal data collected may be processed automatically or manually for the following purposes:

  • Provide contact request and information provision services.
  • Optimize site navigability (responsive design, saving preferences, etc.) and relationship management.
  • Provide additional content via links to certain social networks (YouTube, ISSUU)
  • Provide interactivity with social networks (Facebook, Twitter)
  • Collect audience and traffic statistics.  

 

These data are collected via:

  • The contact form: family name, given name, email address,
  • Cookies and Google Analytics (web analytics service): IP address, location, pages visited, browsing time, etc. Cookies are managed by your web browser.

Users are informed that when visiting the iuct-oncopole.fr website a cookie may be automatically installed in their web browser. A cookie is a data block which provides information about the user’s use of the site but without allowing the user to be identified.

Storage and sharing of your data

Some of your personal data may be shared with our partners (Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Gandi).

However, the Institut Claudius Regaud will not share your data with any third party other than its service providers.

The Institute will store your data only for the period permitted under current legislation, that is:

  • Up to 13 months for data collected via cookies;
  • Up to 3 years for data collected other than by cookies.

 

Unless you exercise one of your statutory rights, as described below.

 

Your rights as a data subject

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • The right to access information;
  • The right to rectification;
  • The right to erasure of your personal data, as long as this right does not conflict with other regulatory or contractual obligations;
  • The right to data portability (i.e., the right to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form and to transmit these data to another controller) when you have consented to your data being processed and when processing is performed using automated procedures;
  • The right to object to processing (doing so may prevent you accessing some of the services the Institute provides);
  • The right to restriction of processing in order to contest the accuracy of your data, oppose the erasure of your data or exercise or defend your rights before the law;
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time. Exercising this right does not affect the legality of any processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
