CAPTOR

A center for the cancer treatment drugs of the future.

The scientific project of the Toulouse site CAPTOR (Cancer Pharmacology of Toulouse and Region) is one of the two  national award winners of the ‘Future Investments' "University Hospital Cancer Centers" call for projects program. With funding of 10 million Euros over 5 years, the project aims to promote the emergence of new cancer treatment drugs.

CAPTOR has 4 areas of action:

  1. innovation or basic research for new drugs;
  2. evaluation or clinical research relating to these new drugs;
  3. medicinal products in everyday life, or assessing pharmaco-social practices;
  4. teaching, or the integration of innovations in medical training.

These areas are complemented by the desire to develop scientific culture around cancer among the population.

It brings together academic, industrial, medical and educational strengths.
