The medical and scientific project

The IUCT Oncopole has a medical and scientific project for the period 2013-2017, approved by the Syrota-Philip Interministerial Mission.

The project is based on the following driving ideas: 

  1. Regrouping the Toulouse public sector oncology activity of the University Hospital Centers and the ICR on 3 sites with no duplication, whilst  respecting the management logic of the two institutions (organs and cancer). 
  2. Using the new Oncopole site to house the shared "new oncology tools" essential for patient care and research. 
  3. Allowing all the healthcare institutions in the region to benefit from these tools.
